Stateline Boys & Girls Clubs
Beloit, WI & South Beloit IL

Dear Supporters

Dear Supporters,

September is bittersweet. It marks the end of summer here at our clubs, but also means Back to School and After School Programming. I wanted to take a second to give a huge thank you to our Staff at both of our clubs and our extension sites this summer. You made each day fun for all our members, and most importantly, made a positive impact on the lives of many. You guys rock! For those staff heading back to college, best wishes for a great year! Come back and see us soon!

I read an article recently about Boys & Girls Clubs and After School Programming and it continues to inspire me. More than 11 million kids nationwide leave school every day with no place to go-unsupervised, unguided and unsafe. After school is a dangerous time when kids can get into trouble. Juvenile crime escalates between 3:00-7:00pm when kids have no place to go. That’s where we come in. We provide that supervised, guided, safe place after school. We invest in young people by instilling confidence in them to become problem solvers, innovators and leaders who will shape our world. Just like our tag line states, “When schools are out, Clubs are in – we change and save lives.”

Annual Campaign Update – we are at 33% of our $25,000 goal. Annual Campaign runs through December 31, 2019. Thank you for continuing to invest in young people by supporting our clubs. We truly could not do what we do without people like you!

Thanks for all you do,

Mark Rand | Chief Professional Officer - Stateline Boys & Girls Club

Thank you Illinois American Water!

Stateline Boys & Girls Clubs are committed to creating GREAT FUTURES for the almost 2,000 young people that walk through our doors every day. Those young people come to our clubs for many reasons, one of those reasons being food. We provide meals and snacks to all of the young people that visit our clubs. One of our Community Champions, Illinois American Water, is committed to supporting our mission to provide meals and snacks to all of our young people. Thanks to their generous donation, all of our meals and snacks this school year will be sponsored by Illinois American Water. They truly believe that GREAT FUTURES do start here at our Clubs! Thank You Illinois American Water!

Beloit Club News

It was definitely a Summer to Remember at the Beloit Boys & Girls Club. We served over 150 children this summer with quality programs related to gardening, STEM, art, reading, math, computer coding, gym, sports, games, and more! We took children swimming once per week at the Krueger Pool and also took children on many field trips including Medieval Times, Wild West Town, Henry Vilas Zoo, Volcano Falls, Museums and more. We hosted a Summer Carnival and Talent Show, as well. We are definitely sad to see summer pass us by!

Summer may be over, but the fun will certainly continue throughout the school year. We encourage you to join us for after-school programming from 3:00 – 6:30PM daily and 2:00 – 6:30PM on Wednesdays. If you are 12 or older, plan to stay for Teen Nights Tuesday-Friday from 6:30 – 8:00PM.

If your child will be attending our program(s) or you are even interested in receiving more information, please plan to join us at the Beloit Boys & Girls Club (1851 Moore St.) on Thursday, September 12 from

4-7PM for our back to school kick-off night! We will provide mock programming, light refreshments, a meet and greet with Staff, and help you with registration paperwork, including WI Shares childcare subsidies. See you there!

End of the Summer Program Fun!

Members had a great last day at the South Beloit Club! We had water games all day to celebrate our last day! Thank you to Mark’s Pizza for providing our pizza today! Also, the members got to get their revenge on the staff! Members got to pick a balloon filled with mystery substance (whip cream, chocolate sauce, apple sauce..etc) and the staff popped them over their heads! Many laughs (from the members) and tears (from the staff) were had!

Thank You Hoo Haven

On August 2 the South Beloit Club went on a field trip to Hoo Haven. Members got to learn about different animals that they rescue and rehabilitate!
