Stateline Boys & Girls Clubs
Beloit, WI & South Beloit IL

Dear Supporters

SBGC Chief Professional Officer, Mark Rand

Dear supporters,

September brings the start of the school year, but it also brings many exciting things at the Clubs! You will see by the photos and such in this newsletter a sample of the exciting activities going on. Our staff continues to fill that need between school dismissals and kids going home. We provide not only a positive, fun-experience with robust programming, but also that Positive Adult Mentorship/relationship. I am always humbled by our staffs’ dedication to our young members.

September also brings the United Way’s Day of Caring. This is one of my favorite days of the year, because of the meaning behind it, Caring. It is also a shining example of true community partnerships with all of the Stateline Area’s businesses lending a helping hand, and by sharing their most precious resources; their people. These individuals do amazing things at all of the various non-profits, and we are always so excited, truly humbled, and thankful to receive their help. You will see many pictures of the work and volunteers from that day in this newsletter. A huge thank you goes to all of those businesses for sending their staff to help on that day. Also, I would like to send our gratitude to United Way Blackhawk Region and their team for leading the way in the region. We are proud to be a United Way Blackhawk Region Funded Partner. #LIVEUNITED!

Thanks to all of you for continuing to support our clubs and our kids.

Mark Rand | Chief Professional Officer - Stateline Boys & Girls ClubThanks for all you do!

There will be pumpkin decorating, face painting, a bounce house, and a bunch of Halloween games for the kids to play! Of course it wouldn’t be a Halloween party without a Costume Contest. Judging will be at 3PM. Candy will be handed out to the trick or treaters. It will be a Spooktacular Day and all in the name of raising some money for our Stateline Boys and Girls Clubs.

70 Kids a Day!

The Beloit location is excited to announce that we are averaging 70 kids a day! This is exciting for us, with having two shuttles that seat 13 kids and servicing four schools in our district; it has really helped to increase our numbers! The staff has been keeping busy at helping with homework, arts & crafts, fun science projects, and fit club activities.

Family Dollars & Axium Foods

A special thank you to Family Dollars on 4th street in Beloit, WI for their continuous donations of cookies and candy and Axium Foods for their donation of chips. This helps with us sending our kids home with special treats for good behavior, getting good grades in school, and many other incentives. Thank you for all you do to make this a success for us!

Can you help us with some items for crafting?

We are looking for toilet paper rolls, “cardboard” egg cartons, and googly eyes. If you have any of this items, please drop them off to the Beloit location. Thank you!
