Brody M
Bruce Nichols | South Beloit Club
This year’s Member of the Year is Brody M. Brody is 11 years old and has been a Member at the Bruce Nichols Campus for over a year.
Brody is someone who shines brightly in a crowd and is a very sweet and selfless individual. Whenever he sees staff or other club members possibly needing help Brody is quick to offer a helping hand and will often notice when help will be needed before the staff even realize it.
Brody will frequently stay after hours with his mom on Family Nights to help with clean up and doesn’t leave until everything is put away. If you visit the Bruce Nichols club, you will find him playing football in one of our gyms as it is his favorite room to be in. Surprisingly he does not want to be a football player when he gets older, instead he would like to join the Military.
When asked what advice he would give to other members to achieve member of the year, he replied, “to be respectful and work hard.”
Kaydan M
Joel Barrett | Beloit Club
This year’s Member of the Year is Kaydan M. Seven-year-old Kaydan was awarded Member of the Year for his constant compassion for others, communication with his peers and staff, and loving and positive personality.
He offers help to not only his peers, but staff as well. If you visit the Joel Barrett Club, you can find Kaydan offering leadership by showing his peers they can look to him for support and advice. Kaydan has a knack for reading the room and communicates his ideas and suggestions to teachers often. Kaydan uses his influence for good and continues to model exemplary Club behavior for all members.
When asked what advice he could give to other members to succeed at the Boys and Girls Club and to help them achieve Member of the Year, Kaydan responded by saying, “being nice to other people, especially the new staff and telling friends positive things about themselves”. Kaydan can make others around him better, and we are so blessed he is a member of our club.
