South Beloit had a very transforming September! Day of Caring was held on September 18, and was a huge hit; not just for our building and organization but for our members too! Members had a blast walking around the building and seeing all the wonderful new colorful walls, little library and much more! Their favorite phrase for that day was “thank you for making our club more beautiful”. The “thank you” goes to our wonderful Day of Caring Volunteers from Blackhawk Bank and Andritz.
South Beloit Club also started having its first Friday Teen Night of the month. This month teens participated in Nerf wars and ate as much pizza as they could! Stay tuned for the next Friday Teen Night to see what’s planned. Normal Teen Hours are Monday-Thursday, 5:30-7:30PM.
A huge thank to the Domestic Violence and Survivor Center for coming to speak to our members on how to be a good friend and not a bully. Also, a big Thank you goes to the South Beloit Police Department for taking the time to hang out and play a few games with our members this month! We are so happy to have all of these amazing community organizations taking the time to visit, and make a positive impact on our members!
