Dear Supporters

Dear Supporters,

Summer is almost here! As the school year comes to a close, and summer programming gets ready to begin, everyone is hard at work preparing for another impactful summer. Young people of the Stateline Area have come to depend and count on Stateline Boys & Girls Clubs for not only their safe, positive place to be, but also their summer fun place! Our staff makes it their mission to deliver on this.

In May, we saw our Club sites and school sites wind up their School Year programming strong. We also had an opportunity to celebrate and recognize our Seniors here at the clubs. We had seven Senior members/staff members who are graduating and moving on to either college, grad school, military service, or entering into the trades. We are very proud of all they have accomplished and look forward to hear about their GREAT FUTURES!  We also want to take an opportunity to say Thank You to all of the teachers, administrators, para educators, and other school staff; we come alongside and work with all school year at both the South Beloit and Beloit School Districts. You folks are amazing and inspiring and we are honored and humbled every day to be your partners in this journey to impact youth and provide GREAT FUTURES!

June brings our 44th Annual Golf Outing at The Beloit Club. Hope to see you all there!

Thanks for all you do,

It was a great time today at The Salvation Army of Rock County’s Others Luncheon! Great testimonies and work being done by all. Also, we got to meet 2018 Olympic Gold Medal Curler John Landsteiner. Gold medals are heavy!

Beloit Club News

This Spring, members in the Club have been busy working on STEM and Art projects under the tremendous leadership of one of our new teachers—Ms. Aimee, Teens have begun going on excursions every Monday, and all members have continued to receive quality gym time. Senior Staff were recognized at Senior night in May and the members had an opportunity to see the success that they all will strive to achieve in future years. The fun will only continue this Summer!

The transition from school-year programming to Summer programming is only 2 weeks away. The club will be closed from Monday, June 10– Friday, June 14 in preparation for the opening day of Summer Camp on Monday, June 17. Please sign up as soon as possible as spots are going quickly. We achieved the status of a licensed childcare facility this month and will begin taking WI Shares childcare subsidies as payment for programming beginning in June. Qualified families may receive support in applying for WI Shares at the Club by contacting Emily Peterson at 608-365-8874 or [email protected]. With this new endeavor, we continue in our mission to not turn anyone away and to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens! Join us this Summer for a SUMMER TO REMEMBER!

We are excited to announce that in partnership with Aramark we will be serving free breakfast and lunch during our summer programming hours to youth ages 6-18 years. Breakfast will be served at 8:30-9:30AM and Lunch is 11:30AM-12:30PM Monday-Friday excluding July 4 & 5.

South Beloit News

Our members had a very adventurous month from playing outside, going on little trips and making messes. One of their favorite games this month was playing tug of war, they also had a blast getting to make their own “foam chalk”. During teen night our teens had a fun surprise of getting to play baseball with the South Beloit PD, they had a blast! A few of our members also got to venture over to The Nature at the Confluence and help in their garden a few times this month!

We are now looking forward to the Summer and seeing what great adventures happen! South Beloit Club Summer Program is starting June 3, stop on in at the South Beloit Club and sign up!

Upcoming Dates:

May 31- South Beloit Club will be closed for an all-day staff training

June 3- Summer Session One starts.
